When our families first move in, we concentrate on stabilization and crisis intervention. We begin by helping them solve their immediate housing, nutritional, child care, and employment problems. All families are assigned a social worker who meets with them each week to assess their needs, provide emotional and technical support, assist with goal setting, and monitor their progress in the program. Once their lives have stabilized, we work with them towards achieving self-sufficiency by setting short and long-term goals.
